Assemblies Of God Leaders' Retreat 2008 - "By My Spirit"

The 2008 Leadership Retreat with the theme "By My Spirit" is being held at the Capital City of Abuja from 7th - 11th January, 2008. The meeting which is being attended by the cream of the national leadership include the Executive Committee members, National Directors and Coordinators, District Superintendents, Area Supervisors and Chairmen and their wives focuses on critical issues of leadership development. Among the speakers in the conference include experts from World Bank, Central Bank, Independent National Electoral Commission and National Hospital Abuja.
Delivering a keynote address, the General Superintendent Rev Dr Charles Osueke, explained that in spite of numerous strategies and operational models available in the Church, what the Church needs today is the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Other speakers at the occasion include the Assistant General Superintendent, Rev Dr Paul Emeka, Rev Dr John Ikoni, the General Secretary and the General Treasurer, Rev Dr Effiong Isangadighi. Professionals that presented lectures include Dr Osoba of the World Bank, Deacon J. Sagbama of the Central Bank and Mrs Ojone Adejo of the National Hospital. Rev Uche Ama, the Corporate Director and Elder Thomas Afanga, a chartered accountant from the INEC headquarters also featured.
