Ogoja City-Wide Revival 2006 :: It Was A Great Time of Refreshing!

Ogoja City-Wide Revival has just been conlcuded on Sunday 8th October, 2006. It was a great time of refreshing for the Ogoja people in Ogoja District, in the South Eastern part of Nigeria, when the General Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Charles Osueke and his evangelistic team arrived on Friday 6th October, 2006 to declare the goodness of the LORD. It was indeed a day which the LORD God had made for His people to rejoice and be glad in it.
The first night witnessed a great rainfall with deafening thunders and lightening, as though welcoming the Evangelist. At about 5.00pm the City Stadium was already packed with people waiting for the arrival of the man of God. It did appear that the rain would disturb the service that night. The entire city was dredged, but the stadium was dry. Those inside the stadium did not know that surrounding them, was a torrential rainfall. The Evangelist drove in to announce the postponement of the commencement date, only to discover that the crowd in the field were anxiously tasty for the word of God.
He preached and the Lord blessed the service on this first day. Rev Osueke announced a special meeting by 8am the following day, 7th October, 2006 only to discover that the people arrived an hour early waiting and thirsting for the word. The General remarked he has never seen such a taste for God’s word. He spoke on the theme: “Walking With God”. The Rev Uche Ama, Director for Corporate Ministries followed up the message with another exhaltation: “Life in the Spirit”, and for two hours taught God’s Word to the people. Several people were baptized in the Holy Spirit. That night, the Citywide Revival continued in a very clear weather and greater number of people turned up to the meeting.
The climax of the three-day revival meeting was on Sunday, 8th October, 2006 when the Lord came down in His splendor to bless His people. The Church and the people of Ogoja gathered in the Stadium for the Revival Service. It was a great time of refreshing indeed and the people blessed the name of the LORD whom they say remembered them.
